The round of demonstrations over the death of US black citizen George Floyd in police custody continues despite all the strictness. Protestors have landed on the streets to bring justice to George Floyd. There have also been incidents of violence, arson, and looting in various cities. In view of this, a large number of security forces have been deployed to prevent these incidents.

However, in the meantime, uncontrolled protesters of ‘ Black Lives Matters ‘ in
Washington DC have also damaged the statue of Mahatma Gandhi located outside
the Indian embassy. The police investigation began, though it has not yet been
clear as to who is behind the damage to the statue. It is believed that during
this demonstration, some anarchic elements have damaged gandhiji’s statue.
Quoting news agency ANI, sources said, the park police in the US has started
investigating the case.
