Indo-Nepal border dispute: Nepal’s defense minister Ishwar Pokaran has targeted India over a border dispute between India and Nepal, saying the army will fight if needed. Nepal is believed to be leaning towards China, Due to which Nepal is making a disputed statement. According to media reports, India’s army chief Manoj Mukund Narwane had said on May 15 that Nepal was making a statement at the behest of someone else over kalapani. After which the Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister of Nepal made his statement. Nepal’s defense minister said the Indian Army chief’s statement has hurt the sentiments of Nepalese Gorkhas. During an interview, Nepal’s defense minister made a statement saying that army chief Manoj Narwane’s gesture to China in the diplomatic dispute is a reprehensible statement. He said, if required, the Nepal Army will also fight. He said Nepal’s sentiments have been hurt due to the statement of the Indian army chief. We have always sacrificed. But such a political statement of the army chief is condemnable. On the other hand, Nepalese Prime Minister Op Oli, in the past, made a statement in Parliament saying that three areas are from Nepal. India has already claimed and has also issued a map that three areas on the Nepal and India border belong to India.
