Maharashtra has crossed the 300 marks of the coronavirus pandemic. A record surge of 72 positive cases in the state of Maharashtra in India has taken the total state tally to 302. Another case that has rattled the authorities is that an event in Nazimuddin location of Delhi capital region where more than 1500 Muslims were purportedly assembled amid nationwide lockdown. 23 participants of the event are found positive whereas another 440 have been quarantined any showing corona symptoms.

The medical authority and ministry of health in India has denied the community transmission in the country, but they also accepted that many who came in contact with positive cases are untraceable. The number of positive cases in India is on the surge and the government is making every possible effort to control the situation and prevent the situation from going in the 3rd stage that is community transmission.

One of the most worrying factors in India for the government is that the country’s medical facility is not able to handle severe loads. The medical infrastructure is not capable enough either as the country possesses only 100,000 ventilators. The best medical equipped countries like Italy and the United States have collapsed and have miserably failed in controlling the situation. Therefore, it is a harsh but inevitable reality that India would not be able to counter situations of community transmission. Let’s be optimistic, and pray to get the situation back to normalcy as soon as possible.
